I don’t even know if this is real or just a spoof, but one thing is clear: these sportsmen playing a new and very extreme sport, Ultimate Tazer Ball or UTB are real and their pain seems just as real as it gets. Check out the video below to see for yourself.
This new game seems to be some sort of freaky mix between handball and football: one huge ball must be sent inside the goal and apparently you are allowed to do a lot to get this done, including to zap your opponents with 300,000-volt stun guns or hit them with the huge ball.
Ultimate Tazer Ball is extremely physical and might have some appeal to the adrenaline crazed audience and the suffering is real even though, according to the creators of this sport, it’s not dangerous: the stun guns are designed to deliver 8 milliamps of current, while the lethal dose is 1 amp.
However, this doesn’t mean that it doesn’t hurt – quite a lot, according to one of the UTB players: “It hurts, man, it doesn’t feel good,” a players says.
The interesting thing about Ultimate Tazer Ball is that its creators plan to turn it into a mainstream, professional sport and there are already 4 teams registered: LA Nightlight, Philadelphia Killawatts, Toronto Terror and San Diego Spartans (again, if the clip is nothing but a fake).
